Queerbaiting?

I just do not get this. It feels as if the writer and others like him can’t be satisfied unless it’s all out there in rainbow colors with spotlights and BOLDFACE HEADLINES so we don't have to figure it out. That’s not reality. Many (maybe even most?) guys who are attracted to other guys aren't professional homosexuals. Don't get me wrong, it's an influential subculture responsible for a lot of progress, and while I’m not knocking it in any way, what the hell is wrong with Jensen Ackles showing he knows  fans like the idea that he likes getting his dick sucked by another dude? Critics are paid to criticize. C'est la fucking vie...

Gay TV Trend of the Year: Queerbaiting

Queerbaiting – the act of “queering up” an otherwise straight show in an attempt to attract a gay audience – was everywhere this year. And while it could be seen as progress that shows are becoming comfortable enough to use gay content as a carrot to dangle in front of curious viewers, it can also have the whiff of desperation.
