Heartstopper Season 2

Binge-watched Heartstopper Season 2. Exceeded expectations. Bitchy snarks from some cynics about it being too positive, but for anyone who wants/needs some heartening uplifts, this is it. Everything you want to know in the link below. FYI, it's been renewed for a third season!

  2. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster! Like, I was ROTFLMFAO at the end of ep 4, crying at the end of ep 5. I told a friend of mine to fasten his seatbelt, it was going to be a bumpy ride! The journey of building a relationship - and being honest about it - is never easy, regardless of orientation. Patience, emotional support, awkwardness, it's all there and more. Whether it's bumbling on a first date, or struggling to be honest with friends and family, it can be scary. I like season 2 because it has it all, and (being a former educator) can teach/help viewers who are going through the same or similar situations. Maybe the show was a bit idyllic, but in the long run it's wonderful. Can't wait for season 3.

Yours is the last blog I read because it's the best.

  3. There are some serious issues represented in this season: eating disorders, different types of coming out issues, different types of families, separation anxiety. It didn't look to me that very many of these were solved. What was very positive, and far less certain, was the speed people responded with support. But some had to wrestle with being supportive. That's all pretty true to life, I thought. I was interested to see Alex's character emerge from the background, as I used to be almost that much of a bookworm. And what is going on with Charlie's big sister???
