Andrew Aponick is a Manhattan and Long Island based Exercise Physiologist, Life Coach, Certified Health Instructor, Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Having graduated from Columbia University with a Master’s in applied physiology, he sees more to the human body than simply what is on the outside. Andrew integrates his vast knowledge of human physiology and nutrition into his carefully planned workouts in order to obtain optimum results. Andrew emphasizes long term results, and in order to do so presents clients with challenging yet varied workouts. He does this according to the clients’ present fitness level and any current or recurrent injuries. Having extensive kinesiological knowledge and experience with clients injured and post-rehab, Andrew not only caters to those who are looking to increase performance and improve appearance, but also to those wanting to improve the quality of their life, having been unable to do so because of injury.

Andrew is certified by the international standard setting American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). In addition he is also certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), the International Sport Science Association (ISSA), and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In addition to his many certifications he is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he earned a BS in the nation’s top ranked Sport Management program. Currently he is also working toward a second Master’s, an MS in nutrition at Columbia University.

Andrew himself has been training for over 16 years and has been doing so with clients for the past 9. As diverse as his methods of training is his list of clientele. Andrew has worked with and helped those in the entertainment industry, as well as amateur, collegiate and professional athletes achieve their fitness goals, while tailoring training and nutritional programs for those looking to regain everyday functionality, particularly those in their elder years.
