I do not understand how this stupid, stupid grooming and body-shaving fad got started! It's everywhere! I just finished up a month-long subscription to TimTales because, you know, huge cocks! and I was shocked to see that nearly every one of their bottoms was shaved: legs, pits, pubes. Whether it's a little or a lot, body hair is part of a man's particular maleness. LEAVE IT ALONE! I mean, is it supposed to make them look pre-pubescent? Pervs. More effeminate, because that's what bottoming means? Fuck that shit! Thanks for keeping it REAL.

@Unknown 9h27

Being a real «male» isn't only for hairy men.
I NEVER had body hair, no possibility to even grow a small moustache and I don't think of me as a pre-pubescent or less a man too.

So if being hairy is your only way to judge a man as a real male, well I can tell you that I often encounter many bearded, very hairy men that were acting as real «female» or sissies effeminate too.

I'm always fabbergasted to see all those labeling from gay men to other gay men.

Aren't we, LGBTQ people, suppose to be respectful of ALL differences?

You missed the point, and seem to have missed entirely the sentence in all caps. I'm not at all hairy, and that's fine. What I question is the current fad of shaving off body hair to look . . . what? Having no body hair at all is not normal for any male past puberty. In our culture, it's typically women who shave their body hair off to that extent. There's also a cultural assumption that in male-male sex, someone's "the woman." It's dumb, and maybe that's less and less an issue for heteros. If so, great. But when I used to do presentations to straight audiences, I heard people ask, "which one's the woman"? Duh, no one's "the woman." That's what the "homo" means in the word "homosexual." It's NOT feminine to bottom. But since I often see a distinction in contemorary porn between the top being unshaved and the bottom shaved, there seems to me to some implication that I find troubling. Finally, I do not label other men in the way you suggest BUT I have personal preferences, likes and dislikes, as most people do. I see this as a fad, and I find it turns me off. And I really wonder how and why it became an apparent fad.
