Push to Include Gay Couples in Immigration Bill Blocked

The Republicans responsible for excluding same-sex couples from the new Immigration Bill are Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Jeff Flake and John McCain of Arizona, and Marco Rubio of Florida.

I see not an issue with same sex couples immigrating into the US, as long as they are a contribution rather than a burden.
San Angelo lost a hellava good mayor because he went to Mexico with his lover whose visa ran out.
We need to have a policy that brings us the best work ethic, the brightest intellects, and a dedication to this nation. We do not need additional burdens to the few honest taxpayers via welfare and foodstamp give aways.

I believe the gay couples who want to live here are more likely than many others to have the best work ethic, the brightest intellects, and a dedication to this nation. Excluding them is just one more example of Republicans cynically playing to the lowest common denominator of their prejudiced base.
