Tea Party of Louisiana: Common Core turns kids gay, and this parody website proves it

The Tea Party of Louisiana used a phony news story to back its claim that Common Core had turned “thousands of children across the nation” into homosexuals.

The conservative group cited the story, “Common Core turns first wave of students gay,”on the satirical news site Broken World News to express “shock and outrage” that Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) had criticized Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal’s decision to cancel Common Core standards testing and start over just before the school year began.

“I would take an aggressive, hands-on approach (to) get curriculum and implementation right,” Vitter said. “I’d ensure the state and locals maintain complete control over curriculum, lesson plans and reading lists and make good decisions on those, and I’d demand effective planning and preparation with parents, school boards and teachers.”

The statewide Tea Party group was not impressed by Vitter’s pledge to work with local parents and educators to revise the federal standards that have drawn suspicion from conservatives, reported The Times-Picayune.

“Common Core is Total Federalized Control of Education, Indoctrination and Socialism,” the Tea Party group warned on its website. “Don’t believe us then just Do a Little Homework and see for yourself. Check these out and then tell us how you feel about Common Core being implemented in your schools and with your children.”

The Tea Party of Louisiana listed five links to support its claims, including the story on Broken World News – which includes the disclaimer: “If you believe any of the sh*t you read here you are a freaking moron.”

The satirical article claims Rep. Charles Van Zant (R-FL) looked “like an oracle” after warning that Common Core would “attract every one of your children to become as homosexual as they possibly can.”

Just to be clear, Van Zant actually said that in May, while the satirical news site described him as an oracle.

The article also includes satirical quotes from Raymond Johnson of Biblical Concepts Ministries, who actually did defend Van Zant’s warnings about the federal education standards.

The satirical article quotes Johnson as saying “the smartest kids in school are usually the gay kids,” and he warned the additional study time would encourage students to become gay.

“The Common Core standards are tough — tough enough to turn a straight kid gay,” Johnson says in the satirical article. “The next thing you know, we’re going to see gay kids playing football.”

Bob Reid, a spokesman for Tea Party of Louisiana, claimed the group knew the article was “labeled satire” but posted it anyway to “bring attention of the Common Core issue to those who maybe aren’t paying attention.”

COMMON CORE TURNS FIRST WAVE OF STUDENTS GAY
June 9, 2014 · by Sal Kingfisher · in Education. ·

JACKSONVILLE, Florida–Florida State Rep. Charles Van Zant (R) is beginning to look like an oracle, as his warnings about Common Core standardized testing are proving to be true. Thousands of children across the nation who participated in Common Core during the past school year are coming out as bright young homosexuals.

Earlier this year, Van Zant told the Operation Education Conference in Orlando that Common Core was promoting a gay lifestyle to the nation’s children. But nobody listened.

“People said I was a quack,” Van Zant says, “They called me a right wing nut job. Who’s laughing now? Hollywood and Barney Frank, that’s who.”

Initial estimates suggest that as many as 60% of students who participated in Common Core have gone gay, many overnight. But experts fear that some are just transitioning a little slower.

“Some kids are a little more decisive than others,” says Raymond Johnson of Biblical Concepts Ministries, “Choosing one’s sexual orientation can be a difficult decision. I know it was for me. But the materials in Common Core are coercing students in the direction of homosexuality.”

Johnson says the difficulty of the Common Core tests is the primary culprit in promoting the gay agenda, calling it “common knowledge that the smartest kids in school are usually the gay kids.” Johnson believes the increased studying time students must devote in order to pass the Common Core standards is leading them down a lifelong path of debauchery.

“The Common Core standards are tough,” says Johnson, “Tough enough to turn a straight kid gay. The next thing you know, we’re going to see gay kids playing football.”
