And now a word from our sponsors...

Election Day is November 4, so if you haven't sat down to figure it out yet, here are some differences between Democrats and Republicans...

1. Republicans believe government has too much control over corporations. Democrats believe corporations have too much control over our government.

2. Democrats believe it's to everyone's benefit when we lend a helping hand to the weakest and poorest among us. Republicans believe it benefits the wealthiest and most powerful among us to benefit the wealthiest and most powerful

3. Republicans believe big corporations will do what is best for the American people if the government stays out of the way. Democrats believe big corporations would disembowel you and sell your organs to the highest bidder if the government didn’t stop them.

4. Democrats believe everyone is entitled to good health care, rich or poor. Republicans believe if you can't pay, you're entitled to jack shit.

5. Democrats believe too much of our tax money goes to crooked corporate executives who take government subsidies and pay themselves $80 million salaries. Republicans believe too much of our tax money goes to teachers who make $30,000 a year.

6. Democrats believe what the government does to help people during bad economic times is the essence of patriotism. Republicans believe anything the government does to help people during bad economic times is the essence of socialism.

7. Democrats believe we need to set the highest possible standards for clean air and water. Republicans believe setting standards for clean air and water are burdensome over-regulation.

8. Democrats believe the President and Congress need to work together to create jobs. Republicans believe Congress should do everything in their power to block the President. Then blame the President. (This is actually what the Republican leadership pledged on the night President Obama was inaugurated.)

9. Democrats believe corporate polluters like BP, Halliburton and others should pay to clean up the messes they make. Republicans believe making corporations pay to clean up their own mess is burdensome over-regulation. And, in an exception to the rule, Republicans believe it's the government's responsibility to clean up the mess.

10. Democrats believe our health care system is primarily for the purpose of keeping people healthy. Republicans believe our health care system is primarily a business to keep profits healthy.

11. Democrats believe Congress should be of the people, by the people and for the people. Republicans believe corporations are people.

12. Democrats believe corporations have too much influence over Congress due to their lobbyists and huge campaign contributions. Republicans believe the middle class has too much influence over Congress due to their voting and paying taxes.

13. Democrats believe we need to protect victims of corporate negligence by allowing Americans to file lawsuits against corporations. Republicans believe we need to protect large corporations from lawsuits by Americans who’ve been victimized by corporate greed.

14. Democrats believe the rich should be taxed more than the middle class and the poor. Republicans believe taxes on the rich should be cut, allowing them to give millions in campaign contributions to politicians who vote to cut corporate taxes.

15. Democrats believe too much money in politics produces corruption and destroys the American way of life. Republicans believe money and corruption in politics are the American way of life. The 5-4 Republican majority on the Supreme Court agrees.
